Payments:
Your purchase and privacy are protected at PetMeister.com. Ordering is done though our secure ordering site. When you see "https://" in the address window it means you have entered the secure portion of our site (The "s" means secure). The order page where you enter your name, address, and credit card number is the secure portion of the site. Remember, we will NEVER give, sell, rent or transmit your information.


Our site utilizes 128 SSL encryption technologies to protect your privacy, however, if you would rather not use the internet to transmit your credit card number, you may e-mail us or better yet, call us at 530.391.1881 or FAX us at

Credit card numbers, when verified, must match the BILLING address of the purchaser.

Sales Tax in California is 8.25% on all sales delivered in California. There is no Sales Tax to sales made outside California.

Shipping:
A minumum charge of $5.90 will be charged to all orders. Freight charges will be automatically added to the total. If you forget to add the freight where applicable, we will add it to your order.Sales tax (8.25%) will be added to orders shipped within California only. As of now, no other taxes apply.

Some larger items may be shipped by common carrier. You will be notified of the freight charge before shipment.

If your order is shipped UPS Ground or USPS Mail, it should arrive to your door in 2-7 days. You will be e-mailed a confirmation when shipped, along with a UPS or Priority Mail Tracking number.

If your order is shipped UPS 2nd Day then it should arrive within 2 BUSINESS days after the item is shipped, (example...order received on Monday, item will arrive Wednesday), again you will be notified by e-mail along with a tracking number.

Orders received after 9:00 AM Pacific Time, will be shipped the FOLLOWING day. Please call to see if it is still possible to ship the item out that same day.

Should you require your merchandise immediately, we can Overnight the item, and should arrive by 3:00 PM Local Time the next day. Should you require the item before 8:30 AM the next day, we can do that too. Call us for a quote.

While we do our best to fill every order timely, out of stocks do arise. Therefore, if there was a back-ordered item from your order and if your order was originally shipped 2nd Day or Overnight, the back-ordered item(s) will be shipped regular ground (either UPS Ground or via USPS)

2nd Day Air and Next Day Air are shipped only through UPS.

Please Note that UPS cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Residents of Alaska, Puerto Rico & Hawaii: For shipments over 4 pounds, we will notify you if there are any extra freight charges. The charge that you see on your order may or may not be correct. Again, weight is a factor and you will be notified if there are any changes.

We gladly ship APO orders, however keep in mind that these orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail ONLY. We may contact you via e-mail you with additional freight charges.


International Orders:

Shipping costs vary for international orders, therefore you will be notified of the cost to ship your order after you place it. If the order is to go international then it will show up as $0 in the shipping box but that does not mean there is no cost,  just that we will calculate it and notify you.

For Back-order Items:
Back-order items will be shipped via ground service at no additional cost. Shipping upgrades for the back-order items are available for an extra fee.


For Refusing Packages:
If the shipment is refused or marked “returned to shipper” by UPS, we will receive the packages back then issue a credit to the customer minus a 15% restocking fee. If not all items are refused, then only the items received back will be credited. Freight charges are non refundable.

Damaged Goods:
We try our best to prevent damage to all packages during transit by packing each order carefully.  Unfortunately, there will be the occasional damaged shipment.  Please contact us immediately. In this case, please hold onto all of the packaging and contact us immediately.  Please make sure that you do not discard part of the package.  Carefully describe the condition of the packaging material and the ordered items.  A representative of the shipping company may pick up the package from your location in order to inspect the damage.  Because we insure all of our packages, we will try our best to replace the damaged items for you as soon as possible.

Returned Goods:
In order for us to authorize a return, it must meet the following requirements:

  • All products must be in their original packaging material
  • All of the original parts, accessories, instructions manuals, paperwork, etc. is present.
  • Returns must be requested within the first 30 days after the date of purchase
  • Aquarium pumps, filters, heaters, and other submersible aquarium equipment must not have been used or submerged.
  • Unfortunately we cannot process the return of any books at this time.
