Neutralizes ammonia, chlorine and chloramines. Instantly "ages" tap water, allowing immediate addition of water to aquarium. Also use directly in freshwater or marine aquariums to detoxify ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.
Unlike some similar products, Ammonia Detox is safe for sensitive hard and salt corals, anemones and other invertebrates, as well as freshwater and marine fish and plants.

Directions
Add one teaspoon (one capful or five ml) per 20 gallons (76 liters) of tap or tank water to remove up to six ppm of chlorine, three ppm of chloramine and up to one ppm of ammonia. Allow ten minutes before testing.

Kent Ammonia Detox neutralizes chloramines, ammonia, and chlorine to make tap water immediately safe to use for fish, invertebrates, and plants. Ammonia Detox is safe to use directly in all freshwater and marine aquariums, including coral mini-reefs and also water gardens to neutralize toxic ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, as well.
In many areas, water departments are using chloramines, a complex of chlorine and ammonia to prolong the chlorine action in killing bacteria. If chloramine is present, Ammonia Detox will neutralize it, making the water safe for aquatic animals. No other treatment is required. If your tap water only contains chlorine (not chloramine), you may use this product or Kent Chlorinex instead of this product.
Ammonia Detox is much stronger than competing products, is phosphate free and is conservatively rated. It is designed to treat up to six ppm of chlorine or three ppm chloramines in 20 gallons of water, per teaspoon. This is equivalent to one ppm ammonia, as read on an ammonia salicylate test kit. (Test kits based on nessler's reagent will give a false positive reading). One teaspoon will treat 50 gallons at up to one ppm of chlorine or chloramines. If you are in doubt about levels, it is a good idea to test prior to introducing animals into the water.
Caution
Contains complex hydrosulfite salts. Not for human consumption or use on fish used for human consumption. For ornamental fish use only. Keep out of reach of children. May irritate eyes or mucous membranes. If in eyes, flush with water for 15 minutes. If on skin, flush thoroughly with water.
